Tell us about your role at TRI:
As the Director of Marketing, my primary role is to develop and deliver a marketing plan to support our business objectives through brand management, business development, our sample program and digital marketing strategies. As a support role within our Purchasing Department I communicate with suppliers on various products and markets along with processing purchase orders. These roles allow me to express both my creative and structured analytical sides.

Tell us a little about your family:
South meets North - My Mom is a "Native Texan" and my Dad is originally from Lynnwood, WA. I was born in TX myself and moved back to WA when I was 10 to be closer to my father's family. My husband was born and raised and Bellevue, WA - where I met him before moving to back Vancouver, WA. We enjoy the DINK life-style along with my orange Tabby, Sattava and our black Standard Poodle "Rupert" who keeps us busy every day!

About your education or experience:
BA Marketing - Seattle University 2004 as an All-American Fastpitch Softball pitcher, 2004 Female Athlete of the Year for SU and 2004 Pitcher of the Year for the GNAC.
I joined TRI in March of 2005 as an Operations Assistant and quickly moved into a full-time Customer Service Representative role where I learned the daily operations of the import/export business. One year later I moved up to Sales Assistant where I supported the sales and management teams and developed a formal TRI marketing and sample program. In 2007 I transitioned into the Marketing Manager role where my primary duties include tradeshow management, print publications, corporate brand development, system customizations, product/industry research in business development, email marketing, website development and analytics and managing the TRI sample program.  Before TRI, I was a Personal Financial Representation for Washington Mutual for over 2 years and a part-time Event Manager for a Seattle-based corporate events company for 8 years.

What sort of hobbies do you have?
Anything outdoors that I can do with my dog: hiking, camping, canoeing, snowshoeing, the dog park and hanging out at the waterfront.  When at home I enjoy cooking with a passion and learning to make every kind of cuisine there is – all self-taught. To relax you will find me coloring or creating something art-inspired, wine tasting or relaxing with my family.

What is your favorite thing about working at TRI?
The flexibility of my daily work - each day can be so different and having a great group of people I work with day in and day out.

What would you like people to know about you?
There is a time for serious business and a time for serious fun... I truly feel I have a good sense of both in my life and surround myself with others who feel the same. Work hard, Play hard.

Other than appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?
I can't sit still. Ever. Not 100% true, but I am always up and down and on the move.
