ON NOW: TRI "Friends of the Seattle Public Library" Book Drive 2017

The Friends of The Seattle Public Library was established in 1941, the 50th anniversary of the library system. The Friends have sponsored many different programs over the years. Events popular in the 1940s, such as teas, gave way to programs serving contemporary needs, including those of underserved populations. Through sponsoring programs, supporting adequate facilities and funding for the Library, providing volunteers, and collaborating with other Library and civic groups, the Friends have helped Seattle maintain a world class, inclusive library system. The programs supported in 2016 include $5,000 to Give Big, $20,000 for jobs skills classes, $30,000 for sheet music binding and cataloging project, and $12,000 Reimagined Spaces in Rainier Beach Library. More information can be found online at Friends of the Seattle Public Library.

TRI is hosting a Book Drive as a partener of the Friends of the Seattle Publis Library project. Our staff will compete to collects as many items as possible including hardback books, paperback books, audiobooks, musical CDs, DVDs and vinyl records to be donated. The items donated will be sold at a Community Book Sale put on by the organization the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th-19th.

TRI Adopt-a-Family Holiday Giving Extravaganza 2016-2017

Partnering with the Adopt-a-Family program, TRI expresses great joy in the chance to provide a memorable holiday experience for a special local family. 2016 was our 3rd year to hold our own adopt-a-family holiday program where each employee could donate wrapped gifts for these special children and parents.

This year the TRI team went shopping together and made this special event even more powerful for our company relationships and the building of friendship through giving.
